Events AI Circle Partners Blog

Privacy

Last updated 9 October 2026

3rd Space Bucharest is one person running small events in Bucharest. The only thing this website asks you for is an email address, and this page says plainly what happens to it. No jargon, no thousand-word policy you won’t read.

Who is responsible

MELCHOR ERIC RUSSELL AUTHORIZED PHYSICAL PERSON (a Romanian PFA), trading as 3rd Space Bucharest, in Bucharest, Romania. Under the GDPR this makes me the data controller for everything described below.

For anything on this page — a question, a correction, or a request to delete what I hold — write to eric.melchor@gmail.com. I answer these myself.

What I collect, and why

WhatWhyOn what basis
Your email address, when you sign up for the newsletter To tell you when a new event opens, about once a week Your consent
Your name, email and answers, when you fill in the AI Circle waitlist form To decide who joins the next cohort and to write back to you about it Your consent, and steps taken at your request before any agreement
Your name, email and whatever you tell me, when you use the partnership form To reply to you about working together Your consent, and steps taken at your request before any agreement
Pages viewed, roughly where from, roughly which device To see which pages people actually read My legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works

That is the whole list. I don’t ask for a phone number, an address, or a date of birth anywhere on this site, and nothing here takes a payment.

If you buy a ticket

Event tickets are sold on Luma, not here. You give Luma your details under its own privacy policy and it handles the payment; I never see a card number. What reaches me is the guest list for that event — names, email addresses, and anything you wrote in the sign-up questions. I use it to plan the evening and to send the pre-event email introducing a few of the people who’ll be there.

Who else sees it

I don’t sell your details, trade them, or hand them to anyone for their own marketing. A handful of companies see them because they run the tools this all sits on:

Most of these are based in the United States. They handle European data under the safeguards set out in their own data processing terms, which you can read on each company’s site. If a court or the authorities required me to hand something over, I would have to comply; that has never happened.

Cookies, and why there’s no banner

You won’t get a cookie pop-up here, because there is nothing to ask you about.

Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not fingerprint your device or follow you to other websites. It tells me that a page was viewed, roughly from where, and on roughly what kind of device. It cannot tell me it was you.

One thing is stored in your own browser: if you close the invitation card in the corner, that choice is remembered for thirty days so it doesn’t keep reappearing. It stays on your device, I never see it, and clearing your browser data removes it.

There are no advertising or tracking pixels on this site — no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn tag, nothing from an ad network. If that ever changes, this page changes first, and you’ll be asked before anything is set.

How long I keep it

What you can ask me to do

The GDPR gives you the right to ask me to:

Email eric.melchor@gmail.com and say what you want done. There is no form to fill in and no charge. I’ll reply within a month, and usually within a day or two — it’s a short list and I read my own mail.

If you’re not happy with how I handled it

Tell me first and I’ll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, whatever I say:

Autoritatea Naţională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP)
B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28–30, Sector 1, 010336 Bucharest
anspdcp@dataprotection.ro · dataprotection.ro

Young people

3rd Space events are for adults and this site isn’t aimed at children. If you believe a child has given me their details, write to me and I’ll delete them.

Changes to this page

If what I do with your details changes, I’ll change this page and move the date at the top. If the change is a significant one — a new tool holding your email, or anything that tracks you — I’ll say so in the newsletter rather than quietly editing the page.
